Smart Thermostat Installation in Sussex
Hive, Nest, and Tado thermostats supplied, installed, and set up - so you can control your heating from anywhere and stop paying to heat an empty house.
Heat the Home You're Actually In
A surprising amount of gas is burned heating empty houses on fixed schedules. A smart thermostat replaces the guesswork: heating that responds to when you're actually home, controllable from your phone, with schedules that adapt to your routine.
We supply and install the three systems we trust - Hive, Google Nest, and Tado - or fit a unit you've already bought. Installation includes the wiring at the boiler, pairing, app setup on your phone, and a proper walkthrough so you leave the visit knowing how to use it, not just owning it.
Smart controls also pair naturally with a new boiler: our Gold and Platinum installation packages include a smart thermostat as standard.

Zoning Advice
Honest guidance on whether multi-zone control or smart radiator valves are worth it for your home.
Hive, Nest, or Tado - Which One?
All three are excellent; the right choice depends on how you live. Hive is the simplest to use day-to-day and pairs well with British Gas-era heating habits - great if you want straightforward schedules and an easy app. Nest learns your routine automatically and suits people who'd rather not think about schedules at all. Tado is the most capable for room-by-room control, with smart radiator valves that let you run each room on its own schedule - the strongest pick for larger homes.
When we visit, we'll ask how you actually use your heating and recommend accordingly - there's no commission steering the answer.
Will It Really Cut My Bills?
A smart thermostat is one of the simplest ways to bring a heating bill down - you stop paying to heat an empty house, and you only warm the rooms you're actually using. Homes running a fixed schedule that heats the property while everyone's at work tend to see the biggest difference. If your routine is already well matched to your timer, the saving is smaller but the convenience and room-by-room control still earn their keep. We'll give you an honest view for your situation.

Smart Thermostats FAQs
Will a smart thermostat work with my boiler?
Almost certainly - Hive, Nest, and Tado work with the vast majority of gas boilers, including most models 15+ years old. We confirm compatibility before any visit so there are no surprises.
How much does installation cost?
It depends on the model you choose - a standard single-zone installation supplied and fitted is our typical rate, and fit-only installation of a thermostat you've already bought is less. Ask for a price when you book.
How long does installation take?
Usually about an hour, including wiring, pairing, and the app walkthrough.
What is OpenTherm and do I need it?
OpenTherm lets the thermostat modulate the boiler's output rather than just switching it on and off, which improves efficiency. Tado and some Nest models support it, but your boiler must too - we'll check yours and tell you whether it's an option worth having.
Can I control different rooms separately?
Yes, with smart radiator valves (Tado does this best) or a multi-zone setup. It costs more up front but suits larger homes where rooms are used very differently.
