Tim Cockcroft is the founder of Platinum Boilers and a Gas Safe registered engineer (No. 966527) with over 15 years of hands-on experience installing and servicing boilers across Sussex.
Tim started his career as an apprentice plumber and gas engineer before working for several large heating firms across the South East. After years of watching companies overcharge customers, push unnecessary upgrades, and send out inexperienced subcontractors, he decided to do things differently.
In founding Platinum Boilers, Tim set out to build a company that puts the homeowner first, honest advice, fixed pricing with no hidden extras, and work carried out to the highest standard every single time.
Why We Started Platinum Boilers
A boiler is one of the larger things you will ever buy for your house, and most people are asked to commit to one without being told what the price actually depends on. We wanted to do it the other way round: look at the house first, say what we find, then put a number in writing that does not move.
That is the whole idea. You deserve to know exactly what you're paying before any work starts. You deserve an engineer who turns up on time, explains what they're doing, and leaves your home cleaner than they found it. And you deserve a company that stands behind its work for years, not just until the invoice is paid.
Every installation we complete is carried out by our own Gas Safe registered engineers, never subcontractors. We take the time to understand your home's heating needs, recommend the right solution without upselling, and deliver a professional, tidy installation you can rely on for the long term.
